Our Involvement In The Whangarei Community

Police Dogs

We are proud to be the vets for all the Whangarei Police Dogs.

We work closely with the police dog handlers to keep the dogs fit and healthy and ready to fight crime on the streets of Whangarei!

Native Bird Recovery Centre

In recognition of the great work done at the Native Bird Recovery Centre, Mill Road Vet Clinic donates veterinary time and expertise, drugs and equipment to the centre.

Bruce Pickford, who has recently retired from looking after the cats and dogs at Mill Road, now devotes his energy to Whangarei's sick and injured birds.

In fact he loves his work there so much, he volunteers many hours of his own time over and above the clinic's sponsorship! He has undertaken all sorts, from an eye operation on a Morepork, to intravenous feeding of a drought-starved Kiwi. Never a dull moment!

MEET OUR TEAM

Our exclusively small animal vets are supported by a team of qualified vet nurses.
