Julie is from a farm in the back blocks of the King Country. She studied at
Massey, and upon graduating in 1988 started her career as a rural vet in
Southland. From there it was on to the UK, where she worked in a variety
of practices gaining invaluable experience.
Julie and Didier met in the UK, and worked and travelled the world extensively prior to returning to New Zealand in 1996. Back in New Zealand, she joined the Mill Road Vet Clinic in 1999 and the couple are now the owners of the clinic.
Most of her veterinary time is spent consulting and with her considerable experience, there is not much she hasn't seen. She also enjoys surgery and there are a lot of dogs sporting more comfortable bottoms thanks to her soft tissue surgery skills!
Julie divides her time between veterinary work and practice management, 'farming' their small lifestyle block and being a Mum (as only a woman can!).
